Are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day - nine o'clock in the morning (see ; ; ). This was the first of the three hours of prayer into which the Jewish day was divided, the hour of the morning sacrifice in the temple; and no Jew was allowed to taste anything until he had offered his morning prayer.
