So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

So it shall be ... an instruction - [ muwcaar (H4148), from yaacar (H3256), to chastise] - literally, a corrective chastisement, i:e., a striking example, to warn all of the fatal consequences of sin. For "it shall be" [ haayªtaah (H1961)], all ancient versions have 'THOU shalt be,' which the connection favours.
