Isaiah 47:10

For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness - referring, as in , to the cruelty with which Babylon treated its subject states. Thou hast said, None seeth me (; ) - 'There is none to exact punishment from me.' Sinners are not safe, though seeming secret.

Thy wisdom - astrological and political (, etc., as to Egypt).

It hath perverted - turned thee aside from the right and safe path.
