Isaiah 49:25

But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away - (; ; ).

The prey of the terrible shall be delivered - in answer to the question, 'Shall the lawful captive be delivered?' Death is "terrible," because it has man's 'sin' as its 'sting;' and "the strength of sin is the Law" whereby man has become Death's "lawful captive" ().

For I will contend with him that contendeth with thee - (.)
