Jeremiah 25:30

Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

The Lord shall roar - image from a destructive lion (; ).

Upon his habitation - rather, 'His pasturage;' keeping up the image of a lion roaring against the flock the pasture. The roar was first to go forth over Judea, wherein were "the sheep of His pasture" (), and thence into pagan lands.

He shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes - (; Isaiah 16:9). The shout of joy at the vintage, which latter represents the execution of judgment (Revelation 14:18).
