Luke 24:18

And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas (see the note at ), answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? If he knew not the events of the last few days in Jerusalem he must be a mere sojourner; if he did, how could he suppose they would be talking of anything else? How artless is all this!
