Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

Say unto wisdom, Thou (art) my sister; and call understanding (thy) kinswoman. Associate wisdom most closely with thee. The same phrase occurs ; Song of Solomon 4:9, "Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse ... How fair is thy love, my sister," etc. Since, O youth, thou delightest in the intimacy of the fairest maidens, lo! here is by far the loveliest one, wisdom (T. Cartwright). The Lord Jesus alludes to this passage, , "He stretched forth his hand toward His disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."
