The Church shall be then ripe for glorification, the anti-Christian world for destruction; accompanied with mighty phenomena in nature. As to the stars falling to the earth, Scripture describes phenomena as they appear to the spectator, not in scientific language: science itself has often to do the same. Yet, while adapting itself to ordinary men, Scripture drops hints which anticipate modern discoveries.
