For the day of vengeance is in Mine heart, He had definitely decided to avenge Himself upon the nations, and the year of My redeemed is come, the time had come when He would deliver those whom He had chosen for His own, an allusion to the great Year of Jubilee with its manifold forms of deliverance. The Champion now explains the excess of His fury in the battle which He fought.
