Judges 17:2

So the awful curse spoken upon the unknown thief by his mother caused Micah to return the money to her, since he feared the effect of the curses in his case. "As one shakes off rain, so he would free himself of this curse-laden money. " And his mother said, in an effort to save her son from the effects of her terrible malediction, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my son! She praised him for his confession, although her own religion does not seem to have been any too pure any more.
