and if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the Sabbath-day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the Sabbath or on the holy-day, on any festival-day fixed by the ordinance of God; and that we would leave the seventh year, that is, leave the land fallow each seventh year, Exodus 23:11, and the exaction of every debt, remitting in the seventh year the debt of every person, as the Law required, Deuteronomy 15:2.
