‘And Jesus perceiving it said, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves, because you have no bread?”

Jesus is concerned both at their anxiety about shortage of bread and at their inability to discern His meaning, for to Him it reveals their little faith (compared with what it should by now have been). But He is especially concerned about their anxiety about lack of physical bread. It betrayed that they did not yet trust their heavenly Father for their daily bread (Matthew 6:25; Matthew 6:32).
