II. VERY MERCIFUL IN ITS COMMENCEMENT.

III. VERY TERRIBLE IN ITS DESTRUCTION. “And every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.”

1. The destruction was determined.

2. The destruction was universal.

3. The destruction was piteous.
