John 12:23

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

That the Son of man should be glorified] That is, crucified, but he looked through death, and saw heaven beyond it: so must we; then shall we say, "Surely the bitterness of death is past,"1 Samuel 15:32.
