Some go away from Jesus -- John 6:66-71: Jesus knew that some would not believe. He even knew about Judas. All who hear of Jesus have the opportunity to believe. Sadly, some rejected Jesus. "From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him." (John 6:66) Some who at first show interest in Jesus later reject Him. The teachings of Jesus draw some who are willing to become disciples. The same teachings drive away those who are not willing to become true Christians. Jesus asked, the twelve, "Will ye also go away?" (John 6:67) Peter gave a strong reason why the disciples would not leave Jesus. He said, "Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God." (John 6:68-69) Jesus even identified Judas as a devil who would betray Him. What will you do with Jesus?
