μὴ σὺ μείζων. Exactly parallel to John 4:12. ‘Surely Thou, the mad Galilean, art not greater than our father Abraham, seeing that he died? and the prophets died.’ The anacoluthon, like their exaggeration, is very natural. The sentence should run καὶ τ. προφήτων οἵτινες. For ὅστις comp. 1 John 1:2; Hebrews 10:35. For σεαυτὸν ποιεῖν comp. John 5:18; John 10:33; John 19:7; John 19:12; 1 John 1:10 : it is a Johannean phrase, meaning to declare oneself to be such by word and deed.
