ἐξορκίζω. Here only in N.T. Used in classical authors in the sense of ‘to administer an oath,’ especially the military oath (sacramentum). Possibly the word may be used here in reference to the charge against Jesus, δαιμόνιον ἔχει.

ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ. The Jews might have recognised Jesus as the Messiah, but not as the Son of God.
