conduct him forth This phrase is translated bring on a journeyin 1 Corinthians 16:6. See note there.

with the brethren i.e. those who took charge of this Epistle. Cf. passages cited in the first note on 1 Corinthians 16:10 and 2 Corinthians 8:22; 2 Corinthians 8:13; 2Co 9:3; 2 Corinthians 9:5. They were no doubt sent straight from Ephesus, and they might either find Timothy there, or he might reach Corinth after them. In either case he was to return with them.
