Ass. parâku, to baror shut off, parakku, apartment, esp. shrinein a Temple; Syr. perakkâ(loan-word), a shrine). In Hebrews 6:19 f., Exodus 9:7-8; Exodus 10:19-22, the veil (with allusion to the fact that the high priest alone, and that only once in the year, entered into the Holy of holies) is regarded as forming an impediment to the approach to God, which was broken down by Christ, when He entered by His own blood into the -holy place" in heaven (Hebrews 9:12; Hebrews 9:24-26).
