Ezekiel 11:19

give them one heart Cf. Jeremiah 32:38, "And they shall be my people and I will be their God, and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever." LXX. "another" heart (rfor d). Some MSS., Targ. and Syr. read new, which is the prophet's own term, ch. Ezekiel 36:26. Both "another" and "new" form a better antithesis to "stony heart" than "one" does. The old stony heart, unimpressible and obstinate, shall be taken away, and a heart of "flesh," sensitive and responsive to the touch of Jehovah, shall be given them.
