Isaiah 7:13

Speaking under the deepest excitement, the prophet proceeds to unfold the consequences of such impenetrable hardness of heart.

Is it a small thing for you Trans. Is it too little for you to weary men (i.e. the prophet himself) that ye weary, &c. The house of Davidis addressed, perhaps because Isaiah had already experienced rebuffs from the royal princes, although none was so direct a defiance of God as this of Ahaz. my God cf. thy Godin Isaiah 7:11. Ahaz has practically renounced the religion of Jehovah.
