These Anâkites, or (long-) neckedpeople, were a race of very tall men, for centuries remembered by the Hebrews, Deuteronomy 1:28; Deuteronomy 9:2; they were specially associated with Hebron, Joshua 11:21; Joshua 14:12; Joshua 14:15.
