thou wilt hear Thou, thou wilt answer. The pronoun is emphatically expressed. It is possible to complete the sense by supplying me, with reference to the prayer of which Psalms 38:16 speaks: or for me(P.B.V.) with reference to Psalms 38:14. But the one involves the other. An answer to his prayer must be a refutation of the taunts of his enemies.
