Happy the people that know the shout of joy,

That walk, Jehovah, In the light of thy countenance.

Terû-âhmay mean the jubilant shouting with which religious festivities were celebrated (Psalms 27:6; Psalms 33:3; Psalms 81:1; Psalms 95:1-2; 2 Samuel 6:15); or the acclamation with which a king was greeted (Psalms 47:1; Psalms 47:5; Numbers 23:21); or the blowing of trumpets upon certain solemn occasions (Leviticus 23:24; Numbers 29:1). Happy indeed is Israel when it can thus greet its God (Psalms 144:15), enjoying the sunshine of His favour (Psalms 4:6).
