clustersof grapes] Heb. ashkôlôth, not necessarily of grapes. Cp. ch. Song of Solomon 1:14, where we have a cluster of henna, and here the clusters of ripe dates hanging from the palm are evidently meant. Oettli thinks their sweetness, not their form, the point of the comparison.
