Other less satisfactory renderings are, it shall grow up under Him, i.e. all things fair and good shall spring up and flourish under Him. Cf. Pers. Sat. 2, 38: "quidquid calcaverit hic, rosa fiat" (Maurer); or, "He shall sprout forth from under Himself, i.e. send forth shoots as from a parent stem." (Speaker's Comment.)
