2 Timothy 2:18
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2 Tim. 2:18. "Who concerning the truth have erred, saying, that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some." The Jews before Christ, had a general belief that there would be a resurrection, and they thought it would be when the Messiah came. When he comes, they thought the saints that were of old, Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and David, etc. would rise again, and there was a number of them did rise when Christ rose, as Matthew informs us, and therefore there were some that the apostle here speaks of that thought we were to expect no other resurrection.
