Exo. 16:10. "The glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud." The Shekinah that now appeared, and that appeared afterwards in the Tabernacle and Temple, was called the "glory of the Lord," not only because of that outward brightness that appeared, but especially because that brightness was the symbol of the Son of God as there manifesting Himself, who is the brightness of God's glory. The Glory of God is spoken of as a Person in Isaiah 3:8. See Revelation 21:23.
