Joshua 1:2
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
Jos. 1:2. As soon as ever Moses is dead, God commands Joshua or Jesus to lead the people over Jordan. So as soon as ever men through the Law are dead to the Law, they are fitted for the comforts of Canaan. When Moses or the law, our first husband, is dead, we are at liberty to be married to a risen Savior, and so to be brought to the possession of Canaan, that is His inheritance.
