Numbers 13:30

30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

Num. 13:30. According to Caleb's faith so was it done unto him. The people were discouraged with that report of the spies, that there they saw giants, the sons of Anak, and that they were in their own sight as grasshoppers, and so they were in their sight (verses Numbers 13:28; Numbers 13:33). Caleb was confident that they were well able to overcome them, and therefore God gave Caleb Hebron for his possession, which was the chief seat of these giants, as appears by verse Numbers 13:22 (Joshua 11:21; Joshua 14:12; Joshua 14:15). God enabled Caleb himself to drive the giants thence, Joshua 14:12; Joshua 15:13; Joshua 15:14).
