So Paul encouraged the Christians to serve other people. Christians can help all kinds of people. But they always should remember to help other Christians too. This verse links with 2:10.

Paul’s final message

v11 I am writing this myself. You can see what big letters I write.

v12 Some men insist that someone must *circumcise you. They want to make a good impression about things that people consider important. They do this because they do not want to suffer. They would suffer if they *preached about the cross of Christ. v13 Someone *circumcised them. But they do not obey the *Jewish law. Now they want to *circumcise you. Then they can make a good impression because of what they have done to you. v14 As for me, I am completely confident about what our *Lord Jesus Christ has done for me. I only feel pride about his cross. The affairs of this world affect me as they affect a dead man. And my interest in the affairs of this world is dead. v15 One man may have allowed someone to *circumcise him. Another man may not have allowed someone to *circumcise him. But this is not important. What really matters is that God is making you into a new kind of person. v16 I pray for those people who live in this way. I pray that God will make you *peaceful. And I pray that God will be kind to you. I pray this for all the Israel of God.

v17 Finally, nobody should cause me any more trouble. The damage that I have on my body shows that I belong to Jesus.

v18 My Christian brothers and sisters, I pray that our *Lord Jesus Christ will show his kindness to you all. Let it be so.
