1 CORINTHIANS—NOTE ON 1 Corinthians 15:22 in Adam all die. See Romans 5:12, Romans 5:14, Romans 5:17; Ephesians 2:1, Ephesians 2:5. in Christ shall all be made alive. See Romans 5:17, Romans 5:21; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 2:5. Adam represented the whole human race. His sin therefore affected all human beings. Similarly, Christ represented all who would belong to him. His obedience therefore affected all believers.
