2 Chronicles 30:18-20

2 CHRONICLES—NOTE ON 2 Chronicles 30:18 The people from the northern tribes who came to the Passover were ceremonially unclean and thus, according to the law, they were unable to eat the meal. However, their genuine repentance and Hezekiah’s intercession were enough to make their participation acceptable. “Healing” here is probably symbolic language for forgiveness and spiritual cleansing (compare 2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalms 41:4; Jeremiah 30:17).
