However, their genuine repentance and Hezekiah’s intercession were enough to make their participation acceptable. “Healing” here is probably symbolic language for forgiveness and spiritual cleansing (compare 2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalms 41:4; Jeremiah 30:17).
