Amos 2:1-3

AMOS—NOTE ON Amos 2:1 Moab was Ammon’s neighbor to the south, perhaps included here because Moab and Ammon were both descended from Lot through his daughters (Genesis 19:37). Moab’s sin was against neither Israel nor Judah but its southern neighbor Edom. This shows that these judgments are based not on ethnicity but on the universal justice of God.
