DANIEL—NOTE ON Daniel 12:1 A time of trouble unlike any other is a desperate time. Sometime afterward there will be a resurrection of the dead. Those who were faithful in life, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book, will rise to everlasting life in glory, while the others will rise to shame and everlasting contempt. The faithful will shine brightly like the stars forever and ever. However, in the meantime, Daniel was instructed to shut up the words and seal the book. He was to do this because the message of the book was not fully understandable, and also to keep the message safe for future generations of God’s people to read.
