EXODUS—NOTE ON Exodus 14:22 The text is clear that this is not a purely natural event. Similar events will take place when Joshua leads Israel across the Jordan into Canaan (Joshua 3:14), when Elijah and Elisha cross the Jordan together (2 Kings 2:8), and when Elisha returns across the Jordan alone (2 Kings 2:14).
