Ezekiel 47:13-35

EZEKIEL—NOTE ON Ezekiel 47:13 The final element in Ezekiel’s vision is the allotment of land for the whole of Israel (Ezekiel 47:13) and for the 12 tribes (Ezekiel 48:1, Ezekiel 48:23), and the provision of access to the new city (Ezekiel 48:30). These are clearly figurative boundaries, with the strips of land being simply drawn east to west in equal amounts. And yet the overall boundaries correspond to those of Numbers 34:1 (compare 1 Kings 8:65).
