Isaiah 54:7,8

ISAIAH—NOTE ON Isaiah 54:7 For a brief moment I deserted you. The Babylonian exile did not seem “brief” at the time (see Psalms 74:1), but it was momentary in comparison to God’s everlasting love. with great compassion. Lavish displays of God’s eternal love more than offset his momentary discipline.
