Jeremiah 25:11

JEREMIAH—NOTE ON Jeremiah 25:11 seventy years. This is probably counted from the first exile in 605 B.C. to the first return, variously dated from 538 to 535 (2 Chronicles 36:21; Ezra 1:1). However, 70 may be a round number, as it is elsewhere (Psalms 90:10; see Matthew 18:22).
