Leviticus 19:17

LEVITICUS—NOTE ON Leviticus 19:17 To hate in one’s heart is prohibited. Instead one should reason frankly with his neighbor (compare Proverbs 27:5). lest you incur sin because of him. This may mean that the person who refuses to reason with his neighbor, helping him see his sin, would share in the guilt of his sin. It might also mean that a failure to “reason frankly” will result in bitter feelings that will overflow into sinful action.
