Leviticus 8:1-20

LEVITICUS—NOTE ON Leviticus 8:1 The Establishment of the Priesthood. The book of Exodus 1:1 ends with the construction of the tabernacle (Exodus 35:1), and Leviticus 1:1 provides a manual for sacrifice in the tabernacle. Now, ch. Leviticus 8:1 records the installation of the priesthood; ch. Leviticus 9:1 describes the first services in the tabernacle; and ch. Leviticus 10:1 tells about an occasion when priests did not obey the Lord’s words, and also gives instructions on worship.
