RUTH—NOTE ON Ruth 1:22 Ruth 1:1 is often referred to as the Moabite. This helps to emphasize how God’s kindness extends through the Israelites to other nations (Ruth 2:20) and also how God can choose to bless Israel through the kindness of people from other nations (Ruth 3:10; Ruth 4:13). barley harvest.
