When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

1. "They" is a pronoun that refers to the nearest antecedent. Mathias was added to the 11 apostles. (See also verse 14.) The "they" of this verse does not reference the 120 mentioned earlier in Acts 1:15.

2. Some have tried to have Holy Spirit baptism come on all the 120 and thus imply that this baptism is for all Christians today.

3. One accord - All the apostles remained united. They continued together because they had a common bond.
