1. In every crowd there will be some doubter. Some will not accept what seems so real. There were mockers and critics in the crowd.

2. The accusation was that these must must be drunk. They are full of "new wine".

1. Not "strong drink" because there was no yeast (leaven) after Passover. So it could not be a strong drink.

2. New wine refers to fresh grape juice. I have heard many say, "But they did not know how to preserve grape juice. So all of it was fermented. Not true. There were several methods of preserving fresh grape juice.

3. In the NT "Wine" is grape juice in any form - fresh, fermented, or extra strong drink.
