Acts 5:2

And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles ' feet.

1. There was nothing wrong with keeping part of the money. (see verse 4) It was their money to do with as they pleased. Spend it, Save it, Give it away. It was their money.

2. They brought part of it to share with those in need. This was good thing. They should be praised for being willing to share.

3. At this point we are not told of the conversation - They must have said, "We sold some land for X amount and here is all the money from this sale."
