"Delivered them the decrees to keep" That is the divine decision that had resulted from the Jerusalem Conference (Acts 15:23) "Some claim that the word deliver implies that Paul left copies of the decree wherever he went.. copy left with each congregation would give the brethren something to appeal to if Judaizers ever came and tried to force their doctrines on the brethren" (Reese p. 566). "At Jerusalem" Carefully note that this is not. decree from some "mother-church" or congregation viewed as an earthly headquarters. The apostles were inspired men (Acts 15:28). The origin of this decree was God. The place where this decision was made was Jerusalem, simply because most of the apostles still lived there.
