"Many also of them that had believed came, confessing, and declaring their deeds"

Carefully note that Luke observes that Christians were not perfect. They had held on to some things from the past of which they needed to rid themselves. "Declaring their deeds" "Divulging their practices" (RSV). This may suggest that these believers publicly admitted that the magic they had practiced was nothing but. sham and trickery. They confessed that God had all the real power and that they had none.
