In these verses various witnesses of the Western text incorporate a variety of picturesque details. After cro,non in ver. Acts 19:22 the Greek text of codex Bezae adds ovli, gon (“stayed in Asia for a little while”) In ver. Acts 19:25 after :Andrej D and syrh with * add suntecni/tai (“fellow-craftsmen”), a word that does not appear elsewhere in the New Testament. In ver. Acts 19:26 after o` Pau/loj ou-toj codex Bezae adds ti,j tote [which, in the light of itgig hic Paulus nescio quem, is to be read ti,j pote], that is, colloquially “this Paul, a somebody.”
