21 (For those priests were made withoutb an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

On the one hand, the omission of the phrase kata. th.n ta,xin Melcise,dek could be explained if the eye of the scribe wandered from kata, to the kata, that follows Melcise,dek. On the other hand, many scribes would have felt the temptation to add the phrase here (from ver. Hebrews 7:17). The Committee judged that the second possibility was much the stronger. 7
