The absence of the clause kai. evdo,qh … auvtou,j in a variety of witnesses (î⁴⁷ A C P about 50 minuscules (including 2053) syr^h cop^sa arm) is no doubt due to oversight in transcription, the eye of the scribe passing from the first to the second instance of kai. evdo,qh auvtw|/. Several minuscules (1859 2020 2065 2432) introduce evxousi,a from the following clause, while other secondary witnesses modify the order of words (1611 1854 al).
